National Care Innovation Award 2024 opts for big stages
Zorginnovatie.nl is taking a new step forward with the National Healthcare Innovation Award 2024. The winners will receive their awards on April 10 of next year on the main stage at Zorg & ict, the largest health tech event in the Netherlands. The finalists will pitch their ideas a few weeks earlier during the Health Valley Event in Nijmegen. This means the finals and the award ceremony for the National Healthcare Innovation Award will be bigger than ever.
It remains a challenge for healthcare entrepreneurs to actually make their business a success, even if they have already extensively tested and marketed their innovation. To encourage these entrepreneurs, Zorginnovatie.nl is awarding the National Care Innovation Prize in 2024 for the ninth time for the most innovative care innovation in the scale-up phase. Participants have a chance to win the professional jury prize worth 10,000 euros and the public prize worth 5,000 euros. They will also receive guidance in the further development of their innovation.
Registration is open until Jan. 4
Enrollment can begin November 1, 2023. Registration closes on January 4, 2024 at 12:00 pm. After that, the regional partners of Zorginnovatie.nl will organize preliminary rounds during the Smart Care Relay (January 29 to February 23, 2024). The winners of these regional preliminaries will present themselves on the exhibition floor during the Health Valley Event 2024 on March 21 in Nijmegen and will take the stage here for their pitch in front of the professional jury.
All regional winners will have a booth on the exhibition floor at Zorg & ict during Dutch Health Week. There, they can share their innovations with thousands of visitors to the event. In short: the finalists will receive three days of exposure and opportunities to network with professionals. And there’s a festive highlight: the announcement of the winners of the 2024 National Healthcare Innovation Award on April 10 on the main stage at Zorg & ict. This event takes place from April 9 through 11 at the Royal Jaarbeurs in Utrecht.
The benefits of winning
The first win is in the region. Participants will take the stage in the preliminary rounds and come into contact with the region's top healthcare innovators. A great start to generate more brand awareness.

In 2023, the professional jury awarded Huisartsen van Nederland. Momo Medical walked away with the audience award. Winners of previous years have since found that the prize delivers much more than just the check.
