In hospitals, residential care centers and mental health institutions, the workload continues to increase. Technology plays a crucial role in meeting this challenge. Televic Healthcare offers solutions that contribute to well-being, efficiency and safety.
"All over the world there are hands short at the bedside," says Thomas Mattelaer, head of sales Healthcare at Televic. That's why we develop technology that supports as invisible as possible while increasing safety and efficiency."
Less pressure, more attention for the patient
A good example of this approach is the AQURA nurse call system. Whereas a patient used to have only one call, the system now distinguishes between different types of requests for help. After all, not every request requires a nurse. A patient who wants a glass of water can also be helped by a hospitality worker.
Always insight thanks to smart localization
In addition to call systems, localization technology plays an important role. Using tags worn by patients, healthcare workers always know where someone is.
This can be crucial in emergency situations. Mattelaer: "Think of a patient who becomes unwell on the way to the restroom, or someone wandering alone in the hallway. Thanks to real-time location information, help can be deployed quickly and targeted."
Healthcare workers use the same technology. In environments such as mental health care, they can easily summon assistance via a wearable tag. In emergency situations, they can activate a panic alarm with a simple action. Colleagues immediately know where the colleague in distress is.
Smarter care processes through automation
The impact of technology extends beyond direct patient care. Behind the scenes, too, automation creates major efficiency gains. In the emergency room, for example, patients are continuously followed in their care process. From triage to operating room or radiology, care providers always know where a patient is. This makes it possible to control workflows automatically.
Mattelaer gives a concrete example. "When an operating room becomes vacant, the tag automatically signals the cleaning service. Calling is no longer necessary. This saves time and prevents miscommunication. Everyone always knows where a patient is."
The same goes for family members of patients. They can follow exactly whether someone is still in the operating room or already in the recovery room or nursing ward. This reduces the number of phone calls to nurses and optimizes communication with family members.
Less alarm fatigue, more targeted action
A well-known problem in healthcare is alarm fatigue: the large number of reports that do not always reach the right nurse. Through smart filtering and routing, Televic ensures that alarms go directly to the right nurse. This allows for faster and more effective action.
Technology that supports, not dominates
The power of Televic's solutions lies in the combination of smart applications and highly accurate localization. Integrating these systems creates new opportunities to improve care processes without technology coming to the fore.
Televic's mission statement, Committed to wellbeing, efficiency and safety for all, thus becomes concrete in the workplace:
-
t
- Wellbeing: healthcare workers experience less workload and patients feel better served
- Efficiency: processes run automatically and efficiently without unnecessary actions
- Safety: help arrives faster and risks are reduced
